COVID summer 2021

The summer of 2021 our world was turned upside down with the COVID-19 pandemic. This artwork setting is at a summer camp on a small lake, in Ontario, Canada. Camp activities followed social distancing guidelines limiting connections with other children. For the only child, this was isolating. This artwork illustrates such isolation in the quiet moments of sunset. Just as the COVID-19 pandemic turned the world upside down, if you look closely, clouds are reflected upside down in the still water.
